Artist Statement

I have always enjoyed drawing and painting since a child. Life's lessons and especially my two sons Nicholas and Peter have opened up to me an unlimited supply of intense emotion in my heart.
Before I work on each picture I pray for God to work through me and a personal truth is always revealed. My hope is for the messages and images in the art to reach all who need to experience them. May we all continue to learn and grow and LOVE through life.
About Autism
When my son was diagnosed with autism in July of 2002, it was the beginning of an incredible journey, filled with many challenges.
Autism is baffleing. Our world and his body can be very painful to him at times. I have been a witness to his bravery, honesty, determination, his endless supply of love, compassion, and patience.
My son has taught me to love on a deeper level, and as I watch his honesty, he has taught me to be myself. This includes but is not limited to expressing through art, and sharing it.
The growth in my family and in myself emotionally and spiritually has been a blessing too great for words.
I must mention that I am inspired by the Parents and Families, and Professionals I have been privaledged to meet along the way in this Society of special needs children. I am humbled by there strength and wisdom. Thank you! From the bottom of my heart!
My wish is to continue to paint what is in my heart and to represent this experience of life the best I can and share it with you through my art.
